Seraphim's behavior, like many in the government, alters depending upon her company. She ranges from immature and easy-going to formal and cold as a grave depending upon the situation. One of her most distinctive and jolting traits is her ability to switch between rapidly different emotions in a second. She favors face to face debates and conversations over any written text because of this; she prefers finding herself underestimated for the sole purpose of gaining the upper hand. She enjoys a bit of levity, but doesn't tolerate any crap. Superfluous conversation is unbearable and she will never instigate or pursue something she does not feel has a purpose. Her efficiency and intelligence has been praised - perhaps overmuch - since she was a child and it has not dulled in her adulthood. She often finds herself let down or irritated by other's laziness or lack of foresight; Seraphim rarely persists in something if there appears to be no benefit or escape route.
She can be personable and friendly, as well as flirtatious and funny among her close friends or husband. However, beyond them, she shares no details of her personal life. From her childhood to her favorite drink, no detail of what she considers private is allowed to slip out. Whatever expression she gives of openness and honestly, she is intensely reticent. In a professional setting, she sometimes comes off as arrogant, or at least very self-confidant. Seraphim is a very charismatic speaker who knows well how to turn a phrase - or anything, for the matter - to her benefit. She is not immoral, per se, but the line she won't cross is considerably wavy and torn to bits. A colorful saying for what basically amounts to the fact she will do what is necessary to achieve her goals.

Seraphim has a very reserved, albeit confident, air. When she is resting or thinking, her face looks either solemn or murderous; most of the time, though, she wears a slight smirk. She's tall and has an athletic build; she exercises frequently, but offsets her efforts by indulging in sweets or alcohol. Her face is unmarked beyond slight wrinkling around the mouth, but she has numerous scars along her body; including a nasty one along her thigh, from when she once fell. Her eyes are dark blue and long lashed.
She is all about functionality from top to bottom. Her hair is a light blonde, which is always neatly groomed; she keeps it short as to not have to deal with it every morning. As for clothes, while she will dress formally and fashionably when addressing the public or speaking of an important matter, she prefers sleek and well fit clothes that allow easy movement, often paired with a high-collared long coat. They are made up of subdued shades with a flash of color usually in the form of a decorative pin or flower. While she likes elaborately patterned gloves, the restrict her writing ability; to make up for it, she wears expensive rings - gifts from one of her brothers. Seraphim moves and behaves in a deceptively casual manner that belays her constant tension and alacrity.

She came from a mildly wealthy family with military ties. With three brothers, however, Seraphim was given very few expectations and was permitted to do whatever she fancied. During her childhood, she took up fencing and archery, as well as cooking classes. She joined the military at a young age, mostly in an administrative capacity, but was unsatisfied; Arieki's rule was a secretive one and she often felt as though she didn't know half of what was going on. The Kautensa made an offer to her - join us, we'll let you have control - she easily accepted.
